Don Schmitz is the president and owner of Human Resource Staffing. Human Resource Staffing specializes in placement of Human Resource professionals on direct, contract-to-hire or contract assignments with leading businesses throughout the Midwest.

Don has more than 20 years of experience in staffing and human resources. Prior to purchasing Human Resource Staffing, he was part-owner and vice-president of Jeane Thorne Inc.

Don began his career as a teacher in Cottage Grove, MN. In addition to Human Resource Staffing, Don also is the founder/director of The Grandkidsandme Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to building strong families through intergenerational involvement.

He is a published author, writes for several magazines, web-sites, newsletters and is a professional speaker. He holds three advanced degrees in Education, Educational Administration and Human Development.

Don serves on the board for HRP as the co-chair of professional development and an active member of HRP, TCHRA, MHRPS, ASTD-TCC, TCCN & MNTRN.

He is a active in the community and received numerous awards including, Citizen of the Year, Parent of the Year and Teacher of the Year.

John joined Human Resource Staffing in 2006. He has a degree in Human Resources from Metropolitan State University and has worked in HR for eight years. His experience includes; generalist and recruiter positions in the hospitality, healthcare and agricultural industries.

John has an uncanny skill of remembering the names of everyone he meets.  He is open, friendly and has a strong HR network in the Twin Cities.

His interests include; spending time with his family, golf, coaching and officiating basketball and a die-hard Gopher Hockey fan.

Irene has a diverse background in business ownership, management and sales. Before joining Human Resource Staffing, Irene was the Executive Director for an Eden Prairie non-profit.

Irene is responsible for Business Development of new accounts and is known for being one of the best networkers in the business.

Marce is a leading expert in customer service, sales, management and marketing. She built her experience in the food service and printing industries.

Marce holds a BA in business from St. Mary's University.

She is actively involved in community affairs especially her family, friends and chairing fund drives in the neighborhood.

Phil is the former director and founder of the MBA in Human Resource Management Program at the University of St. Thomas and taught in the Center for Health and Medical Affairs.

Phil assists Human Resource Staffing as a member of our Advisory Board and is currrently on the staff of St. Mary's University and founder of Schechter and Associates.
